Framed Arc de Triomphe Artwork
The Arc de Triomphe is the second most visited objective in Paris, after the Eiffel Tower and is conveniently located at the end of the equally famous Champs Elysees. FramedArt.com has set up a collection of Framed Arc de Triomphe Art depicting the structure from different angles. The most impressive ones are also capturing the unmistakable charm of the largest boulevard in Paris, with its haute couture, elegant coffee shops and monuments.
Framed Arc de Triomphe Art is dedicated to the larger arch from la Defense, but a smaller version can be found near the Louvre and it goes by the name of Arc de Triomphe du Caroussel. The former was erected to honor the ones who fought and died for the country during the Napoleonic wars as well as the French Revolution. The names of famous generals and some of their most important victories are inscribed on the walls of the structure, while at its basement lies the tomb of the Unknown Soldier.
The Arc de Triomphe served as an example to other countries who erected similar structures in an attempt at honoring their heroes. The building is impressive in terms of height and width and Framed Arc de Triomphe Art captures the magnificent size of the structure. For a long time it was the largest building of this type in the world, until the Mexicans built a slightly higher structure, to celebrate the sacrifice of those who fought in the national revolution.
