James Byron Dean was a cultural icon in the 1950s and is regarded as one of Hollywood's greatest stars. He found fame acting in movies featuring teenagers struggling with social estrangement. A big fan of motor racing, Dean suffered an untimely death in 1955 when he was just 24 years old. While he left an impressive legacy, Dean appeared in just three films and earned Academy Award nominations for East of Eden and Giant.
