David Lorenz Winston is a photography artist who was born in Pennsylvania. He's mainly known for his nature photography that captures picturesque elements drawn from diverse global locations. Winston earned his degree in art in 1965 and is also a graduate of State University where he studied photography. After his graduation, he traveled in different global locations, including India, Greece, Nova Scotia, Siberia, Nepal, Peru, and Portugal. Winston however started fine art photography in 1978, with his subjects mainly drawn from landscapes from his numerous travels. Besides his nature photography, Winston is also known to capture diverse images of people living their daily lives. He's currently an Oregon resident and he still continues to create art.
His first public exhibition was held in 1980 at the John Wanamaker Fine Arts Gallery in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After the show, he has participated in numerous other solo and group exhibitions in the U.S. In 1994, he managed to make his artistic works outstanding by experimenting with digital techniques to enhance his images. In addition to selling his original works, he has also released several commercial images. Because of their quality and content, Winston's art have been used by reputable organizations, including The National Wildlife Federation and Hallmark. His creative artwork pieces have won international awards and have been featured in Art Matters and Desktop Publishing Journal.
