Framed Warm Color Paintings
When people think about warm colors the first ones that come to mind are reds, oranges, browns, gold, and yellows; all the colors of fall and fire. Artists use these colors to create wondrous framed warm color art. These colors are often found in places where one may feel ill at ease, like the doctor’s waiting room.
Kent Wallis and Connie Geerts paint beautiful scenes in the woods and produce great framed warm color paintings. Craig Tuttle is a well-known photographer that creates the same concept through his camera lens with works like “Discovery – Aspen Trees”. These motivational pieces are some of his best known pieces and can be seen in a variety of locations where people may need encouragement.
Famous impressionism painter Vincent Van Gogh painted the framed warm color painting “Sunflowers on Gold” in 1888 using all warm colors. This is a painting that is still very sought after by art lovers. Will Refuse did his on rendition of sunflowers and made them more detailed and used deeper tones of warm colors.
One of the most interesting paintings done with warm colors is by John Douglas and is called “Cosmic Vibe.” It not only has the warm colors it is splashed with cooler colors and lots of round shapes that look like a kaleidoscope; every time you see it something new appears. In 1895 Frederic Leighton painted “Flaming June”, the famous painting of the lady sleeping in a long flowing orange dress.
