Tara Reed built her artistic empire from humble beginning, starting out as a stay at home mom before developing her artistic skills to start producing high quality art. Without formal training in art, her undying passion to create art inspired her to practice art and grown in it. Tara has a degree in marketing, a study that has added a lot of value to her marketing and managerial skills. She boasts of more than 10 years of art making and collections that have seen her work with well over 50 manufacturing companies. The fact that she's mainly self taught has made it possible for her to fully understand her style, something that has added value to her venture into art teaching.
Tara just started with a dream, quitting employment in 2004 to focus on creating her art, in an effort to experiment whether her art could also capture audience. It's in the same year that she started her company, Tara Reed Designs Inc, which is an art licensing company based in her Portland, Oregon, home. She has found a working way for her to create art while at the same time sharing with others in terms of artistic knowledge and skills. Tara loves her art making since it presents its unique challenges that she has to deal with everyday. Besides creating and teaching art, she also a member of SURTEX Advisory Board, which is a high profile trade show that focuses on art licensing.
