Karen Lorena Parker is an artist who resides in Vancouver BC Canada. She has over 15 years experience in the design industry. Karen was born in South America and grew up in Calgary, Alberta. She went to school to study art before becoming an artist. She also worked in marketing as a graphic artist and in film studios and also worked in a hospital before her career in the arts picked up. Karen grew up knowing that one day she would become a professional artist. She was quite aware how the art world was competitive but still made up her mind in high school that she wanted to be an artist. She even sold her paintings in high school. While at the art school, she was interested in abstract, nudes and figurative art – sculpting, 3-D models, and anything else she could try to help her improve her art. She graduated from the Alberta College of Art in 1994. Karen has worked with mediums like graphic art, as she’s always on the lookout for new ways to better herself as an artist. That’s why many collectors stock framed Karen Lorena Parker art. She looks to incorporate more film techniques and contemporary photography which is what she is currently studying. She continues to create new paintings and believes that anyone who is willing to put in work can become an artist. She is the principal of Bremer Park. Distributed by the Canadian Art Prints and Casa Collection, Karen does commissioned work for private clients, showhomes and interior design firms, and has sold work since 1989. She has participated in numerous, solo shows, exhibits group shows, including work displayed at Moncton Street Gallery in Steveston BC, Hambleton Gallery in Vancouver, and the Richmond Art Gallery in British Columbia.
