Meghan Mcsweeny used the traditional means to learn the trade of photography. She was drawn to the craft at an early age. While in high school she was assisted by an area architecture photographer. She attended the Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, California. Meghan says that college life was a complete joy, as she was surrounded by some of the best art teachers in the world. She also learned alongside some of the best photographers in the world. Upon graduation, she happily accepted an internship with Mary Ellen Mark, an award-winning photographer, and upon completion, she made her way back to Virginia to start her business. Meghan says she’s a perpetual student of photography; she’s open to learning new techniques from her fellow photographers and continues to seek opportunities for growth. She’s also open to criticism, a factor that has made her to grow professionally. Meghan tries to live each day filled with appreciation for the day to day moments, and photography is one of the ways in which she does that. Her passion for the arts continues because of her desire to continue providing her clients with the best pieces of art. Her work has been featured both nationally and regionally, as well as has been supported by her amazing businesses, clients, books, websites, and print publications. She has a deep love of California stemming from her time of living there during college.
