Jerry Ginsberg captures each image on film with large and medium format cameras. He then scans the film on either a drum or highly specialized film scanner for the very highest resolution. He makes every fine art print individually through either light jet process or the giclee. He says that a photograph can express a great deal, allowing us to share beauty; the exquisite, incomparable and unparalleled beauty of nature. Ginsberg is in constant awe of the natural world that surrounds us. He says that man can never replicate the grace of nature’s architecture, no matter how hard he may try to do so. His goal is to translate the emotion of the moment into the finished photograph. He seeks to express that single precious and timeless moment with its tug of the past and pull of the future; to put these ingredients into a 2D photograph capable of evoking within the viewer some semblance of the experience of being there at tat singular, never to be repeated moment. A rainbow, a beam of light, a cloud; all are unique and fleeting. Ginsberg says that our natural world is receding each day as civilization is constantly encroaching on it.
