Katia Hoffman is a fabric designer with hands on approach so she gives careful attention to every color chosen and placed and to every line drawn. From the initial concepts to the final product, she touches every part to ensure that the highest quality finished product and design are brought to the customer. She traveled from Moscow to New York with her family several years ago loaded with a passionate dream to design fabric and a degree from the Moscow State Textile Institute. She says that she didn't see herself doing anything else. Her dream has come to pass. With the introduction of her first fabric collection has become a designer to watch, with her intricate and colorful designs. Much like her detailed designs, her journey has been well crafted by surprises, patience, and time —and the outcome is more magnificent than she ever imagined! To have become something more familiar, like a lawyer, doctor, or even a designer of garments, is the future her parents had envisaged for her. She was the only child of highly educated engineers, so her father pressured her to follow in his footsteps. On the other hand, her mother hoped she would become a great pianist. She even made her to take private music lessons, but this didn't hide the fact that Katia’s interest was elsewhere. At the age of 14 she fell in love with color and began painting. She joined an art school, and nobody took it seriously. Today she produces high quality art – many of them as framed Katia Hoffman art.
