R. Hinshelwood (Born 1812) is an artist who was born and raised in New York. He practiced art from his childhood and could bee seen drawing and painting on any surface that could hold his painting materials. Hinshelwood knew from that tender age that he would become a professional artist and worked hard towards that goal. He’s known for etching and engraving and for landscape painting. Hinshelwood emigrated from England to America around 1835, and he worked for publishing houses including Harpershe and also worked for Continental Bank Note Company as bank note engraver. Hinshelwood worked directly with corporate art consultants and designers to help place his original art in site specific locations. He achieved her dream and was considered as one of the leading artists in the United States. He used high quality materials to produce his art, and that’s why her art have high price tags on them – more so the framed R. Hinshelwood art. His work can be found in many publications including Art Journal, 1876; and Ladies Garland, 1849. His ceaseless work ethic and discipline strongly influenced many artists. His art is not only meant for hanging on the wall, but they are also meant to inspire those who view them. Hinshelwood’s art has been included in numerous public installations and corporate collections through out the country. He worked as an artist for several years and always loved anything with an artistic flare. Hinshelwood said that art gave him a means through which he could communicate effectively to his viewers.
