Tamara Gond has been influenced by Robert Rauchenburg and Mark Rothko. Many years ago their techniques and methods moved her to work in forms and color. Hers are art that reveal her rural roots. She says that as an American, she’s generally not accepting of singular cultures, views, or plans. She embraces differences, and it shows in her work. Her art reflects an appreciation of the many different places in America - places she’s experienced, as reinterpreted experiences for her viewers. There are no contrivances or choices in this for her. Her artwork, like most artwork, is a passionate and personal reflection of her. She’s proud to be able to share it, as an abstractionist from America. Tamara holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Master of Fine Art degree from Cornell University. Currently, she exhibits her art at Alpen Art and Antics, Aspen, UGallery, Image Concision, Outnumbered, Littleton, Co, Fruitlands Museum, Harvard MA, Concord New Hampshire, Sculpture Garden and Mill Brook Gallery, Northeast Harbor ME, Litt Fine Art Gallery Vail, Co, Alpers Fine Art Gallery, Andover, MA, Artemis Gallery, and Galatea Gallery, Boston MA, among other places. Her life, her art, her work - it is uniquely American abstract. Abstract Expressionism and Color Field paintings feel like home to her because, according to her, they are what paintings are meant to be. Framed Tamara Gond art has become a common feature in many museums, galleries, homes and institutions around the world. Her paintings are about texture, color, shape and line.
