Artist Rick Fleury hails from Cape Cod. His contemporary, minimalist style of landscape is widely associated with coastal New England and Cape Cod, with growing recognition nationally, regionally and internationally. In 2006, he was honored with a one-man exhibition at the Cape Cod Museum of Art. Later, he was included in an exhibition from the Permanent Collection at the Provincetown Art Association and Museum. Fleury has also received invitational exhibitions at The Harvard Club of Boston; the Cotuit Center for the Arts; Boston Home Decor Show, Boston; the Boston International Fine Art Show; and the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival. Fleury has used his art as a platform to speak to his viewers on the issues of environmental awareness, conservation and preservation. He teaches at the Museum School - Provincetown Art Association, the Copley Society of Art, Boston, Creative Arts Center, Chatham, and at his studio. His work is in the permanent collections of the Cape Cod Museum of Art; the Provincetown Art Association and Museum; Cape Cod Hospital/Cape Cod Healthcare; the Cahoon Museum of American Art; Bessemer Trust Company, North America; Dana-Farber Brigham and Women’s Cancer Center; John Hancock Financial Services; Ritz-Carlton Luxury Hotels; and many other places. Framed Rick Fleury art have found their way into some of the most esteemed spaces in the world. Fleury is a member of Boston's Copley Society of Art. His work has been selected for quite a number of invitational and juried exhibitions. He has studied at the Fine Arts Work Center in Provincetown and the Arts Students League of New York. He’s also a graduate of the University of Colorado Boulder.
