San Francisco-based artist, Anna Dittman, often draw inspiration from organic shapes and movement and texture by incorporating abstracted natural elements. She loves the unpredictability and beauty of nature, and she says it’s a perfect complement to the human figure. When she can, she loves finding escape outdoors. She also derives inspiration from history, melodies and lyrics, color variations, mythology, expressions - pretty much anything which makes her want to grab her tablet and paint. While she does enjoy freelancing, she thinks her ultimate goal is to make a living off personal art. Thinking about what’s yet to come makes her anxious. If making a living off personal art is attainable and where that would lead, she has no idea! Anna graduated in 2015 from the Savannah College of Art and Design with a BFA in Illustration. This digital illustrator has a passion for enigmatic portraiture. Anna loves biology, nature, and portraiture; and these are the recurring themes throughout her work. Her inspiration derives from organic natural elements. As a child, she wanted to recreate the world as she saw it. Her first canvases were the walls of her bedroom and it’s been a fantastic and a strange ride since. She began taking painting more seriously around age thirteen when she discovered Adobe Photoshop. During that time, a painting teacher encouraged her to look into art school, while she was taking traditional art classes in high school.
