H. Alves is a Brazilian born fine art artist and designer based in Canada, having moved there in 2001. She was born in Refice town in the Brazilian state of Pernambouco. Alves has loved art for years, although it became more evident in her secondary school days. To hone her artistic skills, she followed classes and learned different artistic techniques, including watercolors, oils, acrylic, and oil pastels. She however creates her market targeting originals using acrylic with canvas as her support base. While still in Brazil, she worked for an architecture agency doing design and decoration works. Alves’ passion and consistency stems from her love for decorating and drawing subjects that interest her. Like many other artists, she uses her art to express herself, touching on a deep understanding and interpretation of her subjects.
Throughout her career, she's seen the works of many artists, interacted with artists from diverse backgrounds and visited galleries. These experiences have provided her with a deeper understanding of different genres of art. However, there are specific artists whose works have motivated her, namely, Danielle Lantaigne, Portinare, José de Moura, Amadeu Modigliani, and Diego Rivera. Alves’ subjects are mainly drawn from nature, particularly flowers that she captures decoratively in vases. Her art is displayed in diverse locations globally. Those who would like to have H.
