Framed Mushroom Artwork
Framed mushroom art is a unique category of art in that it contains both photographs and fine artwork, all of which focus on the famous fungi as their subject. No matter which you choose, mushroom art is an eye-catching way to bring a touch of whimsy into the home.
One of the most popular artists of framed mushroom art pieces is Danita Delimont, who teams up with other artists to create visually pleasing photographs of vibrant mushrooms. In “Orange Wild Mushroom,” Delimont and Ali Kabas capture an adorable orange-capped mushroom growing in the wild; in another photo, “UK, Fly Agaric mushroom fungi,” Delimont pairs with David Slater to let a bright red-and-white mushroom take center stage. “Mushroom, Fungi, Stanley Park, British Columbia,” taken with Paul Colangelo, perfectly depicts a cream-colored mushroom whose cap is partially upturned, revealing a carved-like texture underneath.
Other framed mushroom art print artists prefer to work with mediums other than photography. Artist Kristin Emery, for example, uses watercolor in her work “Mushroom” to create her own individual interpretation of the fungi. In it, a brown coffee-colored mushroom is divided into horizontal stripes that closely resemble brushstrokes. The mushroom sits on a sage green bed of tiny ferns. Another artist, Kay Smith, also uses watercolor in her piece “Leprechaun Mushroom.” The painting shows a cute and cheery leprechaun sitting cross-legged atop a small grey mushroom.
“Vintage Mushroom Chart” by Vision Studio is another popular piece of framed mushroom artwork. The drawing highlights various types of mushrooms in a chart-like form; each fungi is brightly colored to make it distinct and to give the work a vintage, retro feel overall.
