Art lovers are often seeking framed Chinese dragon art to compliment the rooms they have decorated in a Chinese motif. There are several styles and formats to choose from in this category.
One of the oldest framed Chinese dragon art paintings was done by Katasushika Hokusai and it is titled “Dragon”. It is done in very elegant colors that include black, gold, and red which gives it a very regal look. Another place that one will see the Chinese dragon is on Chinese pottery and artists like Pat Woodworth have taken that and used the pottery itself to make great artwork.
For those that prefer to decorate in darker colors may want to look to the works of artist Hakimipou-Ritter. The framed Chinese dragon art piece titled “Asian Shield I” is a masterpiece done in black, with deep reds and browns. Even though it is a darker piece it still brings a feeling of warmth to a room. Megan Meagher goes a completely different direction by using lots of bright colors and incorporating the name Beijing into her work.
