Framed Plate Artwork
Plates are often pieces of art themselves but, when artists use them as the subject for their framed plate artwork they can become even more beautiful. Some people have come to think that plate art is only for the kitchen and that simply is not true, this is a vast category of art that can be found in all types of venues.
There are two pieces in the framed plate art painting category that have been around a long time and are still quite popular. These will be seen in a variety of places and they are “The Plate of Apples” painted in 1897 by Paul Cezanne and “The Lemon” painted in 1880 by Edouard Manet. Both pieces are very simplistic yet beautiful to the eye of the art lover.
Vision Studio has produced wonderful framed plate art photographs that are quite appealing. They not only use the original colors of the plates they also use computers to enhance or completely change the look of the plates in their photos. These can be great conversation pieces when placed in the right area or venue.
For art lovers that like a lot of color in their pieces should look at photo works by Cindy Miller Hopkins and partner Danita Delimont. In their pictures they use plates from countries like China and Morocco that are brightly colors and full of detail. Chariklia Zarris does some great work that looks so classy by just using indigo and ivory.
