Framed Pitcher Paintings
In the kitchen should not be the only place one can find paintings and pictures of framed pitcher artwork. Through the years artists have found new and creative ways to work pitchers into their works so that they can be used in various rooms and venues, not just the kitchen anymore.
In 1946 Giorgio Morandi proved this with his very simple framed pitcher painting titled “Still Life of Bottles and Pitcher”. This painting is based on nice earth tone colors and has stood the test of the years because people still love it today. “Pitcher of Flowers” by Peter Graham is an excellent example of a painting that isn’t just for the kitchen. The beautiful and colorful flowers can be a great addition to any venue.
Famous artist Pablo Picasso even made an entry into the world of framed pitcher art with his painting “Pitcher and Apples”. This was a very basic piece for the world renowned artists but, art lovers sought after it and still do. More modern artist Maria Eva took a page from Morandi when she painted her “White Pitcher Bouquet” which boasts lots of red roses.
Pela takes a bolder approach to the concept of pitcher art with various paintings of java, latte, and mocha. These all have great colors and a definite modern pizzazz to them. For art lovers that prefer the more minimalist touch the painting “Still Life with Jug” by Fran Gottlieb is always a wonderful choice. Monte Nagler uses photography to recall the wash pitcher and stand with his wonderful black and whites.
