Framed Swan Artwork
Swans have been depicted in paintings and photographs for centuries, adding serenity, beauty and a sense of calm with their depiction. Framed swan art isn’t simply something that you see in a watercolor format.
In fact, many artists have created representations of this animal in an abstract format and captured real swans in their natural habitat with photos.
Oftentimes when framed swan art pieces are mentioned, one tends to think of the classic watercolor nature depictions, such as At the Mill Pond. Created by Robert Duncan, this is the picturesque watercolor scene of young children feeding swans off the banks of a pond at sunrise. Elegant Migration, created by Greg Alexander, is another great image of pure white swans. However, unlike many other pieces of art depicting these birds, these three swans are in flight above a lake at sunset.
Famous for his abstract paintings, artist Salvador Dali depicted a swan in a different manner in Bacchanale, c.1939. In this framed swan painting he uses the image of a pure white swan with tattered extended wings, communicating a darker imagery than these animals are typically associated with. Dali also uses three of these birds in Swans Reflecting Elephants, c.1937.
For those who prefer a more realistic framed swan photo, images like the black swan swimming in a pond or the lone white swan floating across the water are equally eye-catching. There are a number of these beautiful photographs, which allow viewers to see these birds as if they were viewing them in nature.
