A spacecraft is a manmade machine or a vehicle that can fly and function in outer space. It is mostly used to orbit around Earth or other space objects. Different spacecraft vehicles have various uses, like communication, meteorology, navigation, terrain observation and space transportation. They can also be manned and unmanned, depending on their purpose. Spacecraft vehicles come in different sizes and shapes. They can be small probes, or they can be massive space shuttles or rockets. One of the famous space vehicle series is Soyuz, a spacecraft that carries astronauts to the International Space Station. Many astronauts are often working on this massive space station, which has been occupied by different scientist and technicians for more than fourteen years. Its purposes were helping in space exploration and research, achievement of commercial and diplomatic tasks and making education available to more people. It consists of many modules and solar arrays.
