Framed Art for the Dog Lover Prints
Dogs are revered for their loyalty and are often referred to as “man’s best friend.” These themes show up time and time again in framed art for the dog lover. Images of dogs can be a great way to add a bit of warmth and humor to an art collection.
Many instances of framed wall art for the dog lover put the theme of “man’s best friend” front and center in the piece. “Man’s Best Friend” by Marla Rae shows the title, along with a profile silhouette of a dog. Louise Carey’s “Best Friend - Bone" does not show a dog as such, but the collar, a bone, paw prints, and the text “Best Friend” are sufficient to convey the association with dogs. Carly Rae Studio’s “French Bulldog - Best Friend” shows the silhouette of a French bulldog covered in flowers, with “Best Friend” as a headline at the top of the piece.
Artists also like to portray dogs in everyday activities in their framed artwork for the dog lover. “City Dogs I” by Megan Meagher shows a woman in black tights walking a small dog across a crosswalk in a city street. Marc Olivier’s “Paris Dog I” shows a shaggy dog sitting in the open trunk of a car. “Cafe Pug” by Jim Dratfield shows a pug wearing a pearl necklace and seated upright at a cafe table.
Occasionally, dog images can be more abstract. Stella Bradley’s “Lab 1b” uses typography to form the silhouette of a Labrador Retriver. “Ginger” by Romero Britto almost appears to be a collage with its colorful combination of shapes, but the dog is still recognizable.
