Shiva (Born 1975) is a versatile artist who has managed to apply architecture to art and art to architecture. He has also painted frescoes, initiated painting on watch-faces, designed jewelry, and has adorned cars, porcelain and furniture with his motifs. His European cultural tradition combined with his rich Persian heritage make his oeuvre mesmerizing and captivating. He graduated in 1966 from the University in Faculty of Fine Arts. He then spent several years acquiring practical experience in graphic art. Shiva then proceeded to Pratt University, New York, and earned a master's degree in 1980. He achieved a graphic art with an Iranian flavor after creating original works over several decades. His unique style and the quality of his work prompted collectors and museums across the world to add his works to their collections. He has also taught in eminent art faculties in Tehran since 1976. He was also an artist advisor, one of the co-founders of the Iranian graphic designer society, and jury member of the Iranian graphic art Biennal. His secondary activities included the establishment of graphic art sections for Soroush Publisher and for the Iranian radio TV. All along his schooling years and professional career, he held exhibitions of his photographs, paintings, and graphic works in Iran and abroad, notably in the United States of America, France and England. His works have been repeatedly selected and reproduced in international specialized books and graphic art periodicals. That explains why framed Shiva art are much sought after by many collectors.
