Ken Garrett (Born in 1953) was born in Columbia, Missouri. He currently works and lives in Broad Run, VA and has two grown-up daughters, Julie and Kathryn. His works have been exhibited at Museum of Archaeology & Anthropology of the University of Pennsylvania, the Smithsonian Institution, and in Japan, Cuba, and Egypt. His corporate clients include the Marriott Corporation, IBM, Starbucks Coffee and UNC Aviation. He’s a renowned photographer who has worked in this industry for many years. He got an early start in photography when he attended photojournalism workshops which took place in 1970 and in 1972 at the University of Missouri. Garrett is well known for his stunning images. He promotes his art by producing them in a variety of finishing options to cater for the varying needs of his clients. This has greatly increased the collectability of his art. Some of the options include framed Ken Garrett art. His works of art are known for their avoidance of simplistic sappiness, poignant depth, and proficient sense of formal design. In 1976, he received a Bachelor of Arts degree in anthropology from the University of Virginia. That same year, Garrett managed to shoot his first piece for National Geographic. The story was about tall ships. Garrett’s art has been the subject of many articles in many publications, and are represented in numerous corporate and museum collections. Simplicity what determines his art and summarizes his overall style. His art hang on the wall of many buildings in Columbia, Missouri and abroad.
