Artist Richard De Wolfe was born and brought up in the Thousand Islands region of Canada. Together with Mary, his wife, he lives near Kingston, Ontario, on a horse farm where he can paint and at the same time study scenes of the rural life and the Thousand Islands as well as the wildlife and people. His work is available as originals as well as limited edition prints. De Wolfe has participated in many prominent art shows such as the Wye Marsh Festival, Wildlife Habitat Canada Stamp Competition, Canadian Photographers and Artists in Communication Annual exhibition, and Ducks Unlimited. His art is shown in December each year, in a solo show, in Kingston, Ontario. As a young boy, the mighty St. Lawrence River, the forests, and of course fields, made the wonders of nature come alive for De Wolfe. Hey were all inspiring for him and he used to admire them. His art has been very popular ever since his first solo shows at the age of 15. That show was a big sell out, and made him to get commissions for many months after. Framed Richard De Wolfe art have found their way into many buildings around the world. They are used for decorative as well as academic purposes. They are very popular because they come ready to hang with all the necessary accessories. De Wolfe spent more than 25 years as an illustrator and produced paintings for national and international corporations such as Sony, Pepsi-Cola and General Motors.
