Framed Sunglasses Posters
If asked about the origin of sunglasses, many would probably say that these are the result of modern technology and contemporary ingenuity.
The truth is that the first ones were produced more than one thousand years ago in China and even though they looked different from their modern counterparts, they were still effective. FramedArt.com has numerous framed sunglasses prints and many of them celebrate modern products, but there is also artwork highlighting the beauty of vintage sunglasses.
Ashley David and Stanley Tretick have dedicated a lot of time to framed sunglasses prints and their posters are emphasizing their fashionable nature. The names of these prints are Chic or Caroline Sunglasses and they highlight the change that spectacles have on people. Speaking of which, those who prefer the classical approach and enjoy Franciso de Goya’s art will surely enjoy the paintings titled Self Portrait with Spectacles. It goes without saying that it was not sunglasses that he was wearing, but the intelligent and contemplative look in his eyes, makes this acquisition worth making.
At the opposite end of the spectrum are the framed sunglasses prints that focus exclusively on the items and don’t feature any human characters. Danny Phillips’ The Future’s So Bright and Mo Mullan’s 60s revival celebrate the style of sunglasses that were popular some time ago. It definitely helps that fashion changes and returns occasionally, as some of these spectacles who apparently fell from grace, are once again attractive.
