Framed Vintage Train Art
Rail transport is less popular today than it used to be a century ago, mostly due to the fact that freight trucks are intensely used. The network of roads and the relatively cheap fuel, allows the operators to transport goods across the highway network instead of rails.
Nevertheless, these vehicles have their popularity and charm, with FramedArt.com making a compelling case with its assortment of framed vintage train prints.
Just as the name suggests, the framed vintage train prints focus on those models that were designed many decades ago and only a fraction of them are still operating. These trains were relatively slow at least if compared to their modern counterparts and not necessarily as comfortable. Back in the day, the vast majority of those using the rail transport couldn’t afford to travel in the best conditions, but this was hardly their purpose. Having said this, the elite had the chance of traveling aboard some of the most luxurious vehicles ever built and they still exercise the same magnetism after all this time.
The collection of framed vintage train prints features unknown vehicles that used to decorate the advertising posters created by the railway operators. On the other hand, names such as the Orient Express, the Trans Siberian and the Canadian Pacific have a special meaning in popular culture. Some stand out from the crowd for the long distances that passengers would cover on board of these vehicles, others have a reputation for providing the utmost comfort and luxury to their passengers.
