Framed Truck Artwork
Almost one billion cars are operating all over the world and a small fraction of them are trucks used for transporting cargo. Depending on manufacturer, purpose but also location, these vehicles differ and FramedArt.com is the place where the finest framed truck prints can be found.
As they vary greatly in terms of configuration, power and size, setting up an entire collection is easy and it can include anything from regular lorries, to fire trucks and other vehicles carrying specialized equipment.
The vast majority of the vehicles featuring in framed truck prints are powered by diesel engines, but there are plenty of exceptions to the rule. The evolution of trucks is equally interesting and the first models were manufactured in the early 19 century, when the steam trucks were introduced. They became more popular 100 years later, when the infrastructure allowed vehicles to travel long distances at greater speeds. The introduction of internal combustion engines marked pushed the manufacturing of trucks into overdrive and they flourished in the 20th century.
It is no coincidence that some of the most interesting automobiles featuring in the framed truck prints date from the end of World War I. The advancements of technology made it possible for tires to be replaced with pneumatic counterparts and power brakes were introduced as well as electric starters. Diesel engines became the norm in the 50s across Europe and it took two more decades to be introduced in United States.
