Train Wall Art
Most of the goods are transferred nowadays by trucks, yet rail transport is widespread and trains are the ones making it possible. FramedArt.com has plenty of framed train prints featuring modern vehicles, but also classic models that are no longer operational.
The new ones are running exclusively on diesel and electricity, but back in the day horses and steam engines were the ones propelling the vehicles forward.
Depending on the purpose they are expected to serve, trains differ in terms of size and shape, but the thing they have in common is that they operate on rails. Framed train prints depict vehicles that have one or more locomotives attached to the railroad cars but also self-propelled units. Steam locomotives are nowadays regarded as vintage machines, but one century ago they were the ones powering the trains. They were used for both passenger vehicles and for transporting cargo, being the means of transportation chosen by those who had to travel long distances.
Technology changed this form of transportation greatly and the latest trains can travel at speeds of more than 500 km/h. Among the framed train prints, can be found vehicles that operates using the Maglev technology, side-by-side with old-fashioned steam locomotives. Another important difference that art lovers will notice is that freight trains that are used for transporting goods, use wagons which look differently as they serve a different purpose from passenger trains. They are less glamorous and travel at lower speeds, but have more railroad cars, as they need to transport huge quantities.
