Framed Gas Station Artwork
Modern transportation is heavily dependent on fossil fuel and with almost a billion cars on the road, gas stations are extremely important. Back in the day they used to be more than a place to fuel up the car and acted as an oasis for those who spent a lot of time on the road.
This message is conveyed by the framed gas station prints available at FramedArt.com featuring some of these filling stations on iconic roads such as Route 66.
Contemporary gas stations are acting as tiny supermarkets, with those stopping by being invited to browse a broad spectrum of products. In addition to filling up the tank with gasoline or diesel, customers can acquire pretty much anything they need for a long voyage. There are also framed gas station prints dedicated to the modern versions, but the vast majority of them celebrate the charm of their older counterparts. Decades ago, they were less numerous yet scattered nationwide and their unmistakable charm is captured in photographs and paintings.
Technology made giant leaps forward and with electric cars now on the road, it comes as no surprise that gas stations have electric energy stations as well. Those that sell exclusively electric energy go by the name of charging stations, although they are less numerous than the conventional stations. While they’ve lost much of their charm and are less appealing for painters and photographers seeking to create the best framed gas station prints, they are far more versatile and useful.
