Framed New Jersey Artwork
Densely populated and one of the wealthiest US states, New Jersey is the fourth smallest state and together with New York City and Philadelphia creates a megalopolis. FramedArt.com focuses mostly on the urban area and its Framed New Jersey Art brings into the spotlight the interesting mix of modern buildings and structures erected centuries ago. It was also one of the original British colonies and played an important role in US history after the nation gained its independence.
The area of New Jersey was inhabited for almost 3000 years, with the vestiges left behind by indigenous people being conclusive. Well before the English took over, Swedish and Dutch colonists established the first settlements and built the first towns here. Framed New Jersey Art also emphasizes the importance of the state during the American Revolutionary war, as this was the place where major battles unfolded.
During the Industrial Revolution, New Jersey had some of the biggest factories and the entire state experienced rapid growth which led to a process of suburbanization. Atlantic City and its famous Boardwalk also feature in Framed New Jersey Art, with the city being for decades the main attraction for gamblers. Conveniently located on the shores of the Atlantic Ocean, it used to be a popular destination for those who wanted to catch some sun at the seaside. Prestigious hotels were erected on the Boardwalk and some of them can still be admired in posters featuring buildings at the waterfront.
