Framed Abstract Expressionism Artwork
Expressionist painters were the first to depart from the canons that had been guiding artistic movements for centuries. They didn’t hesitate to charge their artworks with emotions by using intense colors and to some extent they were responsible for the beginning of the abstract art movement. FramedArt.com can provide art lovers with Framed Abstract Expressionism Art that follows the evolution of these artistic representations, starting from the beginning and featuring the latest creations of contemporary artists.
James Ensor and Edvard Munch were inspired by post Impressionism and had a significant contribution to promoting abstraction at the beginning of the 20th century. Framed Abstract Expressionism Art feature mostly art prints painted in the second half of the century, with the best of them being created in the wake of the Second World War. Having said this, the earliest paintings authored by Henri Matisse can also be admired in this collection as they come very close to pure abstraction.
Abstract Expressionism inspired modern artists and it led to surrealism, which focuses on the subconscious creation and highlights spontaneity. Artists such as Mark Tobey are widely regarded as some of the earliest promoters of this artistic movement, with their white writing canvasses. Framed Abstract Expressionism Art also features some of their art prints, including the famous Canticle created in 1954 which is better known for the calligraphic style. Abstract Expressionist artists were equally successful on both sides of the Atlantic, building a reputation for an idiosyncratic and rebellious style.
