Teri Jonas Art

Teri Jonas is a self taught artist and has been painting for over 30 years. In 1993, she studied pastel painting with Albert Handell and has since been working primarily in this medium. She is represented by the Chisos Gallery in Marathon, Texas in and Austin by Graphic Concern. She is also represented by the Phoenix and Dragon Art Gallery in Bloomington, Indiana, and by Elements. Teri has a loyal following of collectors across the nation, and has been holding regular gallery exhibitions in Austin, Texas, Taos, Boulder, Colorado, and New Mexico. She is a signature member of the Texas Watercolor Society, the Pastel Society of America, and the Watercolor Society of Indiana. She is also a member of the Waterloo Watercolor Group and the Pastel Society of the Southwest. Teri began painting with watercolors then gradually shifted to pastel. She has been working exclusively in pastel for the past 12 years, painting on very fine sandpaper which creates a vibrant look and holds the pastel well. Teri has paintings in many private and corporate collections in the US and around the world. She has been featured on the cover of Vitality magazine and in American Artist and Southwest Art. She recently teamed up with Grand Image, a company based in Seattle, to produce limited edition posters and prints from her original pastels. Teri believes that art is a reflection of the artist’s inner self and their journey through life. That’s why she puts much effort in her work to produce the best.
