Norman Wyatt Jr. is a native Virginian. He seems to have always been involved in the Fine Arts and loved everything to do with art. In fact as early as the second grade, Wyatt would travel weekly to the area high school where he used to sit under a talented art instructor, surrounded by seniors and juniors. This love and passion later led him to pursue Fine Art at Virginia State University and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Art and Design, Visual Communications. Much of his inspiration comes from his past professional experiences and his early years. He grew up captivated by the sounds and colors of nature. And while in college, he worked at a gift shop that was African-inspired. Here he was constantly surrounded by authentic jewelry, fabrics and sculptures. After finishing college, he got a job as an elementary art teacher; he was giving instructions to kindergartens through to 4th grade students. Wyatt reached the imaginations of his young pupils by constantly decorating the halls and classroom with energetic, bright bulletin boards. That artist actually developed numerous of his signature looks and techniques during breaks from classes. He had a lone table set up in the corner of the classroom, where he created many abstracts, still lifes and landscapes, to keep himself busy by painting. Shortly, he realized that he had developed a look that was interesting or different enough to show a fine art publisher. He continues to produce high works as can be seen in the framed Norman Wyatt Jr. He loves the gift of being an artist. He currently lives in Virginia with his wife and 3 children.
