Silvia Vassileva got interested in art at a young age. She enrolled for an art class at the age of 12 in Bulgaria, her native homeland. Silvia then got fascinated with art that it became apparent to her that there was no turning back. Her love of art grew from that moment on and she started seeing diverse shades, colors, and shapes that she never used to notice. Silvia proceeded to the Academy of Fine Art in Sofia from where she earned both her bachelor's and master's degrees. After completing her studies, she spent 6 years in Japan, painting and exhibiting her work in different platforms. She would later move to California in 1996 where she’s been living since. Silvia has grown artistically over the years with her works currently being distributed globally by Wild Apple Graphics. As a result, many of her artistic works are widely available in galleries and prints. She boasts of a very unique style that's a result of the diverse artistic works that have influenced her. She borrows from diverse artistic backgrounds and artists, including Renaissance masters, Japanese wood block, French impressionists, and the famous Pablo Picasso. She therefore considers her art simply free and bold. Although she has several artwork pieces that exhibit seamless color blends, she enjoys sudden change in colors and color palettes that inject life into her artwork. Silvia has built a reputation due to the uniqueness and quality of her work, seeing many of them displayed in public and private collections, including, residencies, galleries, and corporate offices.
