Anne Tavoletti is an artist based in a suburb of Pittsburgh, PA. She loved art from a young age and could spend most of her free time sketching, painting and drawing. She was lucky to have parents who were also artists. Her parents together with artists such as Rene Gruau, Mary Cassatt, and John Singer Sargent, were enormous influences. Her talent was noticed by many of her friends who also encouraged her to take art as a full-time career. Anne received her associate degree in fashion illustration from The Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. Anne strives to always create pieces that reach out to the hearts of viewers. She prefers to achieve quality without adding too much detail or sophistication. She believes that too much detail may destroy her unique style. She also prefers to keep everything simple and incorporates dramatic use of color and texture to capture her subject matter with a unique flair. With lively vivid accents and vigorous brushstrokes, she continues her search for new images of familiar subjects. There is never a limit in her techniques, her subject matter, or her stylistic development. Anne’s style of illustration varies greatly from editorial fashion to folk art. She works in a variety of media, including colored pencils, pen and ink, watercolors and acrylics. In her free time she enjoys gardening, decorating, and spending time with her two teenage sons and her husband, a graphic designer. Framed Anne Tavoletti art are sought after and collected by corporate and private collectors at home and abroad.
