Gail Peck is a multi-disciplinary artist whose assemblage, photography and paintings have been shown in the National Cathedral, the Sewall-Belmont Museum and House, in addition to several art centers, and galleries throughout North America. Her style displays her continuing interest in shapes, forms and texture. Gail is good at manipulating texture, color and other elements of art to bring a perfect balance in her art. She has developed her own way of producing her art which makes her work to be easily recognizable. She uses her artwork as a vehicle for posing questions, creating awareness, and for making strong statements on various social issues. Today, her art, more so the framed Gail Peck art, are much sought after by many purchasers who are interested in giving their rooms a fresh look. She loves the creative aspect of producing art. Her creative process is anchored in an intuitive, consistent approach to being present in the now. Her painting, entitled Gustav Quilt I, won the 1stt place in 2004 in the “Introspective Images” show in Bethesda, MD. Her pieces of art take the viewers to another place or another time of happiness and stillness. Actually, Gail did not intend to be a photographer. At the age of 53 while she was pursuing her AA degree, she fell seriously ill with a sickness that was mysterious and lasted for more than one year. In a bid to distract her from the pain her husband gave her a pocket digital camera as a Christmas gift. This is how she got into photography.
