Jerry and Marcy Monkman are photographers with clients all over the world. Some of their clients include Northern Forest Alliance, Mt. Washington Observatory, Society for the Protection of NH Forests, Appalachian Mountain Club, Clean Air-Cool Planet, Manomet, The Nature Conservancy, Open Space Institute, The Wilderness Society, The Trust for Public Land, L.L. Bean, American Forest Foundation, Conservation Fund and Timberland. From a professional or business standpoint, integrity and discipline is incredibly important, and these are the attributes that Jerry and Marcy Monkman posses that help promote their work. As artists, creatives, and business persons, they are self-motivated and disciplined enough to actually finish the projects that they are inspired to create. Their films, books, and images have told conservation-themed stories and adventure stories for more than 2 decades for clients such as The Nature Conservancy, The Trust for Public Land, L.L. Bean, Timberland and National Geographic Adventure. Having self-discipline is what differentiates their meaningful projects going out into the world and changing people’s lives. They shoot anywhere, though they most often shoot in New England, especially in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and Massachusetts. They have also authored books including “Wild Acadia” which has sold widely and was named by Shutterbug Magazine as a top photo book of 2007, and “The AMC Guide to Outdoor Digital Photography.” The framed Jerry and Marcy Monkman art are a common feature in many galleries and homes. They will usually be found shooting outdoor lifestyle and nature video and photography for commercial, editorial, and non-profit, clients.
