Georgia Janisse in a native of Newport Beach, California but spent most of the last 25 years living in Florida. She has lived in Ft Walton Beach in Florida’s panhandle, Cape Coral on the Gulf Coast, and New Smyrna Beach on the Atlantic. She paints the things and people she loves and the serene life around her in the seaside towns where she has lived so much of her life. She says that her greatest teacher in the Creator Himself, from whom she receives both her ability and inspiration. She and her husband later settled on the Florida coast where they raised their 5 daughters. The casual lifestyle and the shores of the beach towns inspire many of her oil paintings. With each original painting she sells, the artist gives a card bearing the words: peaceful, calm, serene oil paintings. Her goal in painting is to bring a sense of calmness to the viewer. She works together a soothing composition to attain her purpose - a realistic style, and a natural color scheme, using places and people and things she loves as the subject. She believes that artists always reveal something of themselves in their work, so she seeks to find something beautiful within – to bring to the canvas. Her hope is to transport the viewer into a peaceful world. Georgia and he husband, Dennis, have traveled all over the world to places as diverse as South Korea, Nicaragua and South Sudan. Framed Georgia Janisse art are a common sight in many galleries and museums across the country.
