Danny Hahlbohm was born in 1949 in Mineola, New York. He grew up on the eastern end of Long Island until 1968 when he enlisted in the Armed Forces and was sent overseas. In 1972, he was honorably discharged and he began painting for auctions houses and galleries across the country. In 1974, he started touring the country, exhibiting his work and promoting himself nationally from coast to coast. While on a tour in 1978, he was approached by one of the largest publishers in the art field and they began distributing reproductions of his works throughout the country. After just one year, he released “Footprints in the Sand” that made him to gain world recognition and put his artwork into the homes of literally millions. In his career spanning 3 decades, more than 100 of his different prints have been reproduced and distributed to more than 30 countries around the world.
Hahlbohm’s technique and style has brought him much recognition, including commissions for many magazine covers, billboards across areas of the US, headstones in cemeteries, CD covers, and many more. He also has limited edition puzzles, plates and has been honored for opening theaters of Texas for “The Passion of the Christ” by Mel Gibson. He never took any art lessons but he has developed his style to such a level that he shared his knowledge by giving many art lessons across the states. The art classes given by Hahlbohm are now available on DVD through his website. His work has been hung in some of the most prestigious collections across the nation and diverse galleries also stock ready to mount Danny Hahlbohm framed art.
