Jodi Fuchs is a contemporary abstract painter. Her paintings could be described as visionary abstracts but she refers to her work as “Spiritual Graffiti.” Her work’s inspiration fuses a variety of interests: the art of creating a sacred space (ambientology), yoga philosophies and practices, meditation, world travel, expressionistic gestures, mark making, and feng shui. Jodi’s works are spontaneous explorations into what is fascinating her currently. Sometimes that is a concept: the poetics of divinity, connection, breath, yearning, chaos, love, expansion. Sometimes it's an image: she loves stripes, circles, lotus flowers, and targets. In 2010, while Jodi was living and working in Los Angeles, she won Archstone Apartments “Art of Santa Monica Contest” in respect of this, she was allowed to use gallery space @2000 Main St. in Santa Monica for six months without any charges. Her gallery proved to be a great success. It was open July 2010 - January 2011. She rents her work to film/TV productions, has a line of fine art posters with two publishers, and creates and sells commissioned paintings for collectors. Currently she resides on the Big Island of Hawaii after many years of living in Santa Monica, CA. She has painted music video and video sets the homes of celebrities (Patricia Arquette, Candice Bergen, Bette Midler, Lily Tomlin, Burt Bacharach), (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Barton Fink), and spa and resort properties (The Lodge at Pebble Beach, The Lodge at Vail). Framed Jodi Fuchs art have found their may into many private and public institutions. They are in great demand due to their high quality.
