Cardinal Prints
Cardinals come in different shapes and sizes even though they belong to the same family and they are scattered all over the North and South American continents.
There are several differences between the species and while some of them are listed as least concern, others are on the brink of extinction. The vast majority of those featuring in Framed Cardinal Art available at FramedArt.com are actually the birds that inhabit North America and they leave mostly within the borders of the United States.
Despite their small bodies, these birds are robust and have surprisingly strong beaks, which helps them find a home in virtually any open woodland. Those who admire Framed Cardinal Art might be tempted to believe that they are looking at different species, when in fact they gaze upon male and female Cardinals. The differences are staggering and birdwatchers will have a great time monitoring their behavior in the wild, as they are easy to spot due to their vibrant colors.
Unlike other birds that migrate during winter, the Cardinals don’t leave their nests throughout the year, so it comes as no surprise that they also featured in many hibernal paintings. Their distinctive look and the fact that they are generally regarded as bold birds, explains why they were chosen as a symbol or mascot by many North American sports teams. Framed Cardinal Art will appeal mostly to baseball fans who root for the St. Louis Cardinals, but also fans of college teams.
