Tanks are not only deadly but also highly versatile and can tackle different tactical situations, being equally effective for performing defensive and offensive roles. Much has changed since the first models were introduced in the World War I and 20 years later, they reached their full potential. Germany was one of the main manufacturers of tanks, despite the fact that its military was not convinced by these armored vehicles in the first world one. Framed tank prints feature both the early German models but also the ones that proved their worth in the infamous blitzkrieg.

The armored vehicles of World War II represent the vast majority of those featured in framed tank prints and include German, Russian and American tanks. As antitank weapons were developed in the wake of the Second World War, the vehicles also had to adjust. Nowadays, they play a less important role and no longer operate on their own, because they are highly vulnerable to enemy aircraft.
