Framed Washington Wizards Art
The Washington Wizards have only been around for a bit over half a century but over these decades they changed their names six times. There are framed Washington Wizards posters at FramedArt.com featuring players wearing different jerseys, but the most numerous ones cover the last two decades.
Since 1997, they didn’t change their name or the venue where they are playing, with the fans swarming Verizon Center, whenever the Wizards are in town.
After being created in 1961, the team had ups and downs but the 70s were remarkable years and this was the decade when they also won the only championship. The reconstruction period concluded in 1968 and the results exceed expectations, with Washington winning back-to-back divisions from 1971 to 1973. Five years later, they also prevailed in the conference finals and the framed Washington Wizards posters feature the players that lifted the trophy for the first and only time in 1978.
There was no shortage of great players in Washington and among those that late for a brief while here is also Michael Jordan. It comes as no surprise that there are plenty of framed Washington Wizards posters celebrating those two years spent by the superstar athlete with the franchise. Even though he could no longer compete at the same level as he did for Chicago Bulls, Jordan was inspiring for the players and exceeded expectations in those games played for the Wizards.
