Framed Pittsburgh Pirates Art
Pittsburgh residents can consider themselves lucky to have so many remarkable franchises in their city, with these teams winning the most prestigious trophies in professional sports. Baseball fans are decorating their walls with framed Pittsburgh Pirates posters, dedicated to a team that was founded 134 years ago.
FramedArt.com has images of all the five stadiums that were at some point the home of the Pirates, with the team being currently located at PNC Park.
Most of the framed Pittsburgh Pirates posters featuring the players celebrating the World Series victories have a vintage look about them and some are in black and white. The reason is that even though the franchise won a total of five championships, the most recent victory occurred in 1979. An equally important moment that the fans are fondly remembering is the victory over the Yankees in 1960, when Mazeroski scored a home run to win the match for the first and only time in World Series history.
The image of fans watching that fantastic match from the top of the skyscraper is instantly recognizable by baseball fans and it is remembered by several framed Pittsburgh Pirates posters. Roberto Clemente, Honus Wagner and Willie Stargell are probably the most important three players to have ever graced the pitch and PNC Stadium. Back then, it was known as Three Rivers Stadium or Forbes Field and it was always packed with enthusiastic fans.
