Framed Detroit Pistons Art
It’s been exactly one decade since the Detroit Pistons have last won a championship, with the team achieving such a performance three times in club history. The franchise located in Auburn Hills was actually founded in Fort Wayne Indiana back in 1941, with some framed Detroit Pistons posters evoking those times.
FramedArt.com has a comprehensive collection of artwork dedicated to those two decades spent in Indiana, but most of the posters are focused on the games played in Metro Detroit.
Detroit is one of the basketball teams that faced a lot of adversity over the first couple of decades and they had to wait 42 years before winning the first championship. The late 80s were the years when the “Bad Boys” played and there are framed Detroit Pistons posters dedicated to these athletes. Dennis Rodman and Isiah Thomas were a few of the players that made that victory possible and they kept the team in the contention for the title over the next couple of years.
For an entire decade, the team sank into mediocrity, but in the early 2000s, a new generation of players brought them back in the race. The most recent framed Detroit Pistons posters celebrating a championship victory dates from 2004 when they defeated New Jersey Nets. It was an impressive accomplishment to overcome a 3-2 deficit and among the key players for that team were Tayshaun Price, Chauncey Billups and Richard Hamilton. All of them have their special place in the hearts and minds of players and artwork dedicated to the franchise.
