Atlanta Hawks is a franchise with a history that spand over almost 7 decades, but they’ve changed their name and location several times. FramedArt.com has framed Atlanta Hawks posters featuring them as the Buffalo Bisons, Tri-Cities Blackhawks, Milwaukee, St. Louis and finally Atlanta Hawks.
Much has changed over the decades, but the last couple of years are by far the most impressive ones, with the current season being the best in team history.
The team had humble beginnings and struggled in the first few years and they won the first championship in 1958. That remains the only accomplishment of this type in club history, which explains while the only framed Atlanta Hawks posters celebrating such a victory are almost 60 years old. They are now trailing Sacramento Kings as the franchise that hasn’t won a title in 56 years, but this could all change this season when they are enjoying a great run.
The team enjoys one of the longest winning streaks in basketball history and their roaster has been consolidated with a handful of great players. Jeff Teague is a frequent sight in framed Atlanta Hawks posters, with the last inspirational baseball player wearing the team jerseys in 2007 and 2008. Marvin Williams, Josh Smith and Josh Childress have played in that team and they feature alone or together, trying to restore Atlanta’s former glory. The franchise hasn’t been particularly successful at drafting All-Star players, with just four of them joining the team since 1980.
