The Solar System is consisted of the Sun and other space bodies that are orbiting around it. It is speculated to have been created in the period of about 4.6 billion years ago. Our Solar System is located around 26.000 light years away from the center of our galaxy, the Milky Way. The interesting thing is that more than 99.8 percent of the total mass in the entire Solar System is located in the Sun, and the remaining amount of mass is located in the eight planets. Sun is also so powerful that it emits UV radiation and solar winds. All of these are affecting other planets, but existence of ozone layer around Earth protects our home planet from any ill effects that the Sun can create. Also, the Sun’s gravitational field has the power that reaches out to two light years in the distance.
