Framed Canyon Art
There’s a certain sense of wonder that can be felt when looking at or over canyons. The landforms seem to evoke a feeling of both calm and adventure. Art lovers are sure to appreciate the many pieces of framed canyon art for there are quite a number of artists that apply these qualities in their work.
Different artists have their own unique takes on their framed canyon art pieces. Some artists like Thomas Moran stay true to the colors and shapes of canyons in his piece Cliffs of Upper Colorado River. Moran utilizes a clever selection of color to paint a realistic picture of a canyon. Furthermore, Moran pays a lot of attention to detail as can be observed in the way he paints the clouds and the canyons.
Meanwhile, Tony Saladino takes an unconventional approach in painting his framed canyon artwork. In his works Canyon I and Canyon II, Saladino uses a cubistic approach in making his work. Using a brilliant choice of colors, Saladino effectively paints a picture of a canyon without putting so much attention to the realistic details of one. Art lovers are sure to appreciate the complexity of Saladino’s artistic approach in his piece.
John Leone’s Canyon Mustang is a piece with a feel very reminiscent of classic Western movies. In his work, there are a number of horses running through a canyon. Leone depicts motion quite well and one can observe how much attention he has put to detail in his piece. Another piece that seems to evoke a feeling of a Western movie vibe is Malibu Canyon by Jennie Tomao.
