Framed Buddha Art
The central figure in Buddhism is also the protagonist of the entire collection of Framed Buddha Art currently offered by FramedArt.com. He is supposed to have lived in the eastern part of India more than 2000 years ago and he was the one who founded the aforesaid religion. A direct translation would highlight the fact that the word actually means the Awakened one or the Enlightened, with Siddhartha Gautama being regarded as the supreme Buddha.

Some of the scenes focus on his discourses and the introduction of monastic rules, which are still followed rigorously by believers.
