Snake River is a large river in United States with a length of 1.078 miles. The river originates from the Rocky Mountains in Yellowstone National Park and it ends as a tributary to the Columbia River. In the historic manner, it was considered that Native Americans lived near this river about 11.000 years ago. The Salmon in this river was plentiful, so it was a source of food for many generations in the past. Also, the famous Oregon Trail was, in a great part, following the Snake River. Today, this river generates a lot of electricity through dams that created a series of different reservoirs, and some of the dams are being suggested for removal, so the plentiful salmon could swim in the waters of this river again.
